The Shoah also known as Holocaust, in Hebrew: הַשׁוֹאָה,’the catastrophe’, was the genocide of European Jews during World War II. imoplementaed in stages by Nazi Germany between 1941 and 1945, murdering over six million Jews across German-occupied Europe. Almost two-thirds of Europe’s Jewish population was exterminated throug mass shootings, starvation and concentration camps, mainly Auschwitz-Birkenau, Bełżec, Chełmno, Majdanek, Sobibór, and Treblinka.
The novel The Wallenberg Dossier is dedicated to describing the Shoah in Hungary and the rescue actions of Raoul Wallenberg.
